Ok, now THIS was an awesome game. I used to spend hours playing it in the arcade... I had high scores and everything! In retrospect, what could be more satisfying than a shoot-em-up car racing game? I'm surprised there haven't been many others in this genre - I've only seen one or two similar games. My favorite weapon was the one you shoot to the horizon, and when it hits, the sky freezes gold and there's a sound like a giant temple bell being rung, and then the cars in front of you fade into wireframe and you can drive right through them! Sometimes these days I still fantasize about that weapon, when I'm biking in a rush to the station through a crowd of slow-walking Japanese people. :P
